Since independence, India as a developing nation is conscientious working towards the education quality. Education is a Nation’s Strength.
A developed nation is undoubtedly the result of an education quality of the nation. Indian higher education system is the third largest in the world.
Quality of education tends to be a reflection of prosperity( for both nation as well as for an individual).

Government Policies
Government has launched education policies to encourage the education importance and as well to focus on social growth of backward classes.
India has had three Education Policies – the first one was released in 1968, and the second one in 1986. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is India’s third Education Policy. Its effectiveness must be measured by how well it contributes to the implementation of Article 21A of the Constitution.
Along with these policies several other initiatives and measures are under process which aimed to provide education to each individual irrespective of their caste, gender and status. the government also provides various financial aid programs to help students pay for colleges, such as grants, loans, and work-study programs.
Aim of Education
In ancient times, the primary focus was on religious education. It was believed that an individual’s moral and ethical growth would enable them to achieve their desired goals and objectives. Inculcation of ethical and moral values were prime focus. Spiritual growth was the centre of education.
While, nowadays education is meant to prepare an individual for life- intellectually, emotionally as well as spiritually. The education aim towards developing knowledge that nurture their passions, and help them in developing problem solving activities and higher level thinking skills including rational and logical thinking along with creativity. It helps in developing values and builds confidence to face the challenges of living.
Education helps you develop critical skills like decision-making, mental agility, problem-solving, and logical thinking. It helps in building personalities that includes character, opinions and intellect.
Each of us still have our ideas and ways we go about doing things regardless of how we are educated, but at the end of the day, our true intellect lies within the education we had and continue to gain throughout our entire life.
Drawback in System
We lack in is providing transparency. Education system needs to be transparent and accountable for each and every step they take, the role of schools, colleges and universities is to prepare every individual capable of facing outside world challenges i.e., technological challenges as well as social challenges
Government Vs. Private School
One of the prevailing problems in education system is the variation in the quality of education. There is vast difference in the quality of education between government schools, and private schools. The private schools offer an enhanced teaching experience, better student-teacher ratio, efficient learning methodologies, and superior infrastructure, thus driving parents away from government schools. They focus on infrastructure which is good but due to no transparency they charges fee structure which is insane.
However, their education system is still far better than the government schools as it lacks governance and is taken for granted at every level. Most of them do not have proper infrastructure like class rooms, black boards, drinking water, toilets and sanitary facilities. Teachers’ professional development is a very weak area in government schools.
Concerns
- Fee structure is not properly defined.
- Curriculum should be revised on regular basis to keep the students update with the new ideas and information which is pouring in a constant stream.
- Hybrid results are only possible when update version of technology and knowledge is incorporated with the conventional method.
- Periodic assessment of the schools and colleges by the authorities to ensure quality of education.
- There should be an accountability measure or strategy under which the institutions showing remarkable results should be rewarded and those with poor performances should be reviewed by the government. And this should be done to each and every government schools.
India need well skilled and highly educated people who can drive our economy forward. The education practice must make its contribution to the evolution of healthy habits, attitudes, and attributes of character so that the students become effective and disciplined citizens of the nation after the achievement of their studies.
