From painting simple colors on walls to having arresting interiors in restaurants hotels and malls, thematic decorations should be given all of the credits. Not only restaurants, resorts or hotels, houses also are not lagging behind in possessing attractive thematic designs these days. Last 5 years have shown a higher tendency of decorating our living or dwelling spaces in a particular theme. This not only makes the ambience more soothing, elegant and exquisite, also enhances the demands of such places. That is why people now a days prefer to go to such places where there are beautiful interiors, soothing tones and thematic decorations around the walls. There are uncountable number of themes being used these days.
Color-Based Themes:
This theme is more popular in decorating the interiors of houses than other places. Be it monochromatic look, pastel color hues, warmer tones, cooler tones or neutral shades, people are readily experimenting with the interior designing. Warmer tones like red, orange, yellow give more vibrant look. Blues, Greens and grays have cooler tones, thus they are soothing to the eyes. But that doesn’t mean that neutral and tans are lagging behind in this game. They are also being included in the classy color by people. Having the interiors white or neutral enables people to do more experiments with other decorative items in the houses too.

With each passing year we can see that the trend of decorating places according to occasion has increased immensely. We can observe that malls, resorts, gyms, hotels etc, apart from having their own thematic interiors already, prefer to decorate themselves occasion or festival wise. On every exciting Christmas, they decorate themselves correspondingly. On the auspicious occasion of Diwali or Holi , they again change their decorations accordingly. Not only this, but even on our Independence day or Republic day, the earlier mentioned spaces look all soaked up in tri-color decoration. The coming Valentine’s week would be a great example of such kind of thematic decoration.
Design Based Themes:
Themes like floral, solid colors, wooden arts, waste bottle art, automobile inspired designs are quite famous these days. In the newly developing city Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh , there can be seen great number of restaurants and cafes who prefer to have a thematic interior along with impressive photography point. Some has extraordinary lighting, some has a particular painted or decorated wall where people can click selfies. Places like Rangrezza, Rangrezza 2.0 , 10 Park Street, Black Horse, Cafeshala, Class Bunk, Shahenshah, Food Cage, Jail Lounge etc are some of the best examples of this.
Sturcture Based Themes:
This kind of decoration is also in practice now a days. Decoarting places with different structural theme such as the theme of having sitting space in Cages, jails, swinging chairs, cycles, tyres, wooden stems, cup-like chairs etc are in practice greatly. Some have littile plants in hanging cups and mugs, walls madeup of plastic painted bottles, floating old bulbs, a hanging old cycle, painted wings of phoenix on the walls, a whole glass floor, open garden decorations, roof-top spaces etc. The best thing about these decorations is they reuse waste materials in order to decorate themselves.
Culture-Based Themes:
Some of the restaurants or cafes have cultural themes. They make the interiors according to some particular culture. Like a whole Punjabi, Gujrati, Rajasthani or Bihari theme. They offer you pagris when you enter the place. Their sitting arrangements, cutleries, foods etc are also according to the theme they have set for themselves.
